When I was in college (school 2 out of 5), I took a film class and the only thing that struck me was the concept of coming full circle. Full circle. I love the way it sounds and the way it feels when you realize you have arrived there. There is a feeling of completion, or the hope of it, and also that where you find yourself, when you come full circle, is right where you are meant to be.
“Before a dream is realized, the Soul of the World tests everything that was learned along the way. It does this not because it is evil, but so that we can, in addition to realizing our dreams, master the lessons we’ve learned as we’ve moved toward that dream. That’s the point most people give up.”
Paulo Coelho, from The Alchemist
I am glad I didn’t give up because here I am; I got to realize my own full circle. I first ran Kite + Anchor for a couple of years right after ECT, and then, when I wasn’t looking, someone bought it when it came up for renewal. When I decided it was time to start writing again, I wondered if it have become available. I couldn’t believe it was. So here we go again. Kite and Anchor 2.0: bigger, stronger, and this time with more dessert options.
